Kindergarten Registration in Forsyth County GA: 2014-2015 Kindergarten Registration for the 2013-2014 school year will be held on: Wednesday, March 26, 2013, from 7:00 am – 1:00 pm Thursday, March 27, 2013, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Registration will take place at the elementary school in your attendance zone. Easter Canned Good Drive When school dismisses for the summer, over 10,000 children in Forsyth County have no guarantee for their lunch, so several community pantries provide “Summer Sacks of Love” for these children during the summer months. Feed Forsyth is holding an Easter Canned Good Drive from March 31st through April 21st to provide the food for the Sacks of Love. Items needed include: Box of Cereal or Grits Quart of Shelf-Stable Milk Snack Bars Trail Mix Packets Peanut Butter Crackers Fruit Cups or 15oz. Cans Canned Tuna 5 oz. Cans Canned Chicken 5 oz. Cans Canned Ravioli Peanut Butter (No glass jars please!) Jelly or Jam (No glass jars please!) Pi Day Celebration from March 1st to March 14th at Mia’s Pizza and Eats March 14 is Pi Day, and math enthusiasts all over the country do some pretty nerdy things to celebrate. We’re no exception, and we’re super excited about our Pi Day celebration to involve our community’s kids. Mia’s Pizza and Eats in Cumming on Market Place Boulevard is sponsoring a Pi Day Celebration that will run through March 14. It involves kids, free pizza, and math skills. Basically, kids can go to our website and find an age appropriate math activity to complete (There are activities that will reinforce various math skills from Pre-K to 8th grade. Some are pizza themed; others are circle, radius, diameter, and pi themed). Kids who bring their completed math activity to the restaurant between March 1 to March 14 will receive a free slice of pizza. Kids in grades Pre-K to 8 are eligible to play and must choose an age appropriate activity to complete. Only one per child. Free slices are dine-in only between 11am to 6pm, Monday through Sunday.
