Artistic Adventure Summer Camps This summer Artistic Adventures is packed full of fun and creative art camps. This is their 12th year of weekly camps for pottery and art. This summer camps will cover many different art genres. Throughout the summer the morning camps feature pottery wheel and handbuilding while the Art Art Attack camps feature both pottery and fine art. Some weeks are ages 6-8 and other weeks are 9 and up. Cumming Dance Academy – Summer Fantasy and Intensive Camps We have teamed up with Cumming Dance Academy to share what great summer camp options they have this summer. My family loves Cumming Dance Academy! No matter the skill level one of these camps will be a great entry way into dance for your child. They have two types of camps this year – Fantasy Dance Camp or Summer Dance Intensive. The first we will share with you is the Fantasy Dance Camp. Our Fantasy Camps are just what your dancer needs to get her through the summer break and keep her moving forward in dance before the new season begins! Dance camps are also an excellent place to start for new dancers. Camp gives them a chance to get acclimated to the studio, learn class routines, and discover just how much fun dance can be! Fantasy Camp is designed for students age 2-8. Dancers attend 3 hours daily for an entire week, learning new technique and dance styles as well as participate in snack, craft, and movie time. On the final day of camp, we have an in-class Parent Performance for our students to demonstrate all they have learned! Forefront Arts Drama Camps We are excited to announce our partnership with Forefront Arts! They are providing 3 great opportunities for your kids to go to a fun summer camp this summer. Forefront Arts drama camps feature acting, improv, creative play, singing, dancing, designing, and more. Our camp instructors are professional actors and every camp week culminates in a public performance.We are offering TWO productions this summer in Cumming AND Johns Creek: “How I Became a Pirate” and “Yellow Brick Road”! Our smallest performers (preschool-rising kindergarten) can take part in an exciting half-day Creative Dramatics camp. Each day we’ll do warm-ups, play theatre games, make up stories, sing and dance to music, create costumes and props for the show, and practice for our big performance on Friday! Performance Campers (rising 1st grade – age 14) will experience the entire production rehearsal process: auditions to find the perfect role for each student, blocking rehearsals, character development, memorizing lines, music and dance rehearsals, and finally, performing the show for an audience of family and friends! In addition to rehearsing the show campers will play fun theatre games, learn warm-ups, and do crafts. The camp will expose students to many aspects of live theatre including movement, music, blocking, theatrical makeup, and set and costume design. All levels of experience are welcome.
