Accepting Nominations for Forsyth March for Babies Ambassador

Forsyth March for Babies Since 1946, the March of Dimes has identified a child to represent the organization to the American public, developing what became known as its “poster child.” During the Foundation’s polio campaign, the poster child was stricken with polio. Today the Special Ambassador Program is an annual campaign that puts a face on the March of Dimes mission. The Special Ambassador is a child who was helped by March of Dimes-funded research, programs, advocacy, or educational campaigns. The Special Ambassador plays a vital role in promoting March for Babies and the Foundation’s mission to give every baby a healthy start. Although all babies have been helped by the March of Dimes Mission we seek to prevent birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Throughout the year, the Special Ambassador and at least one parent attend March for Babies events to share their story with audiences. Accepting Nominations We are now accepting nominations and applications for the 2015 Forsyth Special Ambassador. Email mbeal@marchofdimes.com for more...
